I guess Steve Jobs was right: You can only connect the dots backwards.

Although I never realised it back then, my passion for coaching, mentoring and professional development started 10 years ago when I was named Recruiting Captain for Iberia’s Sales & Trading division at Morgan Stanley.

That random opportunity ignited in me an interest in career and performance development at work. Today, a decade later, I find myself devoting my time and energy to that initial interest in a number of complementary ways:

1. As an Executive Search and Leadership Development Director at Talengo (formerly Norman Broadbent in Spain), where I lead our Financial Services practice;

2. As an Executive Coach, partnering with executives at critical inflexion points or facing the biggest professional challenges in their careers; and

3. As an Associate Professor at IE Business School, working with MBA candidates in improving their behavioural and career fitness and helping them discover their professional vocation to enhance their employability post-graduation.

And Now The Boring Stuff...

I am a certified Executive and Organisational Coach under the Columbia Coaching Certification Program (Level 2), a Certified Habits Coach (BJ Fogg's Behavioral Model) and a Neethling Brain Instruments Certified Practitioner.

I hold a double Master's Degree in Law and Business Management from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3).

I speak Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese.

Previous Lives

My career began as a professional racing driver (1998 Spanish Formula 3 Champion).

I then went for my first entrepreneurial experience, co-founding a small shipyard in Italy. It was 2002 and it ended not being a great idea after all!

After a 1-year stint at a private equity firm in Spain, in 2005 I started my investment banking career in London, first at Goldman Sachs and later at Morgan Stanley, where I last acted as head of foreign exchange sales for Southern Europe until the end of 2013.

In 2014, I co-founded ThirdWay Africa, a merchant banking services firm focused on impact investment opportunities with offices in London, Maputo (Mozambique) and Harare (Zimbabwe). I served as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer from inception, transitioning to an advisory role as an Affiliate Partner in 2019.
